Scholars describe Ramadan as divided into three portions:
The Prophet ﷺ said: "It (Ramadan) is a month whose beginning is mercy..." Focus on seeking Allah's mercy through worship and good deeds.
"...its middle is forgiveness..." Intensify seeking forgiveness for past sins through repentance and istighfar.
"...and its end is emancipation from the Fire." The most blessed nights of the year. Maximise worship to seek Laylatul Qadr.
Laylatul Qadr is the most blessed night of the year—"better than a thousand months" (Quran 97:3). This means worship on this single night is worth more than 83 years of worship!
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Seek Laylatul Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan." (Bukhari)
