Days Until the Blessed Month & How to Prepare
The countdown to Ramadan 2026 has begun! Use this time wisely to prepare spiritually, physically, and practically for the most blessed month of the year. Don't let Ramadan arrive while you're unprepared.
Wednesday, 18th February 2026. First Taraweeh: Tuesday evening, 17th February 2026.
29-30 days ending approximately 19th-20th March 2026. Eid al-Fitr: Friday, 20th March 2026.
The Companions prepared months in advance. Make up missed fasts, increase worship, and set your goals.
Expected Start: Wednesday, 18th February 2026
First Taraweeh: Tuesday evening, 17th February 2026
Ramadan 2026 corresponds to 1st Ramadan 1447 AH in the Islamic calendar. The exact start depends on moon sighting and may vary by one day. Mark your calendars and begin your preparation now!
The companions of the Prophet ﷺ didn't wait passively for Ramadan. They actively prepared for months. Some would make du'a six months in advance, asking Allah to allow them to witness the blessed month.
A countdown helps you:
| Milestone | Expected Date |
|---|---|
| First Taraweeh | Tuesday, 17th February 2026 (evening) |
| First Day of Ramadan | Wednesday, 18th February 2026 |
| Mid-Ramadan | Wednesday, 4th March 2026 |
| Last 10 Nights Begin | Monday, 9th March 2026 |
| 27th Night (likely Laylatul Qadr) | Saturday, 14th March 2026 (evening) |
| Eid al-Fitr | Friday, 20th March 2026 |
Vague intentions lead to wasted opportunities. Set specific, measurable goals:
Ramadan comes only once a year. Many who witnessed last Ramadan are no longer with us. Many who are alive this moment may not live to see the next Ramadan. If Allah grants you another Ramadan, treat it as the precious, fleeting gift it is.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your busyness, and your life before your death." (Hakim)
The countdown is ticking. The question is: will you be ready when Ramadan arrives?
As you prepare for your Ramadan, remember that millions of people face the month with nothing—no food for iftar, no resources for charity, no hope for celebration. Children in Gaza, Yemen, and Sudan will enter Ramadan hungry and will leave it hungry.
Your early giving helps charities plan and prepare food distribution. Starting your generosity before Ramadan arrives means more families can be reached when the blessed month begins.
Ramadan 2026 is expected to start on Wednesday, 18th February 2026 (1st Ramadan 1447 AH). First Taraweeh is Tuesday evening, 17th February.
Ramadan 2026 will be 29 or 30 days, ending around 19th-20th March 2026. Eid al-Fitr is expected on Friday, 20th March 2026.
Make up missed fasts, increase worship, set goals, adjust sleep schedule, reduce caffeine, calculate Zakat, plan meals, and budget for charity.
The Last 10 Nights begin Monday, 9th March 2026 (21st Ramadan). Laylatul Qadr is on one of the odd nights: 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th.
The Companions would say: 'Allahumma ballighna Ramadan' (O Allah, let us reach Ramadan). They would make this du'a months in advance.
Set specific goals, prepare in advance, prioritise worship over socialising, give generously, and treat each day as if it might be your last Ramadan.
