Muhammed Taher, a 40-year-old farmer and his family of eight children, are among the many who received life-saving services from the Afghan Red Crescent. After three of his daughters fell ill, he rushed his family to the nearby mobile health team, Taher said:
“My sick daughters [were] examined by a doctor and received free medication, and my other children were vaccinated… I can’t express how grateful I am to the Afghan Red Crescent for sending a mobile health team to our village. They are providing life-saving help to people like us in remote rural areas, where access to healthcare facilities is so constrained or totally non-existent”
